Home & leisure

The growing home & leisure sector encompasses a diverse range of products and services. But the requirement for copy is fairly universal: it needs to be interesting and engaging – with a strong call to action.

This is probably my favourite sector to work with. Home & leisure topics – by their very nature – tend to be easy to relate to, understand and write about.

Even if it isn’t an area that I already have personal experience of, I’ll more than likely know someone who has. If not, I’m usually willing to find out more, especially if it involves travel, food/drink or the arts.

As well as being enjoyable to research, producing home & leisure content tends to allow plenty of scope for creativity within the copy – which isn’t always possible with B2B projects.

Over the last few years I’ve immersed myself in the worlds of:

  • Art events
  • B&Bs/self-catering accommodation
  • Caravanning
  • Heating and plumbing
  • Home furniture
  • Luxury hotels
  • Office supplies
  • Regional tourism
  • Security systems
  • Skip hire and rubbish removal
  • Swimming/swimming pools
