Home & leisure

The growing home & leisure sector encompasses a diverse range of products and services, but the requirement for copy is fairly universal: it needs to be interesting and engaging – with a strong call to action.

This is probably my favourite subject area as home & leisure topics – by their very nature – tend to be easy to relate to, as well as easy to understand and write about.

Even if it isn’t an area that I already have personal experience of, I’ll more than likely know someone who has. If not, I’m usually willing to find out more, especially if it involves food or drink.

As well as being enjoyable to research, producing home & leisure content allows scope for a fair amount of creativity within the copy – which isn’t always possible with B2B projects.

Over the last few years I’ve immersed myself in the worlds of:

  • Art exhibition
  • B&Bs/self-catering accommodation
  • Caravanning
  • Heating and plumbing
  • Housing development
  • LPG
  • Luxury hotels
  • Prams and pushchairs
  • Regional tourism
  • Security systems
  • Spanish food
  • TEDx
