Although I’m a linguist and hence a ‘creative type’, I’m not scared of getting to grips with techie products and services; in fact, I quite enjoy the challenge of working for technology clients.

As the owner or employee of a technology business you might well think that an outsider could never write credibly about your ‘baby’. After all, I can’t possibly share your in-depth knowledge and understanding.

However, it’s often beneficial to get a non-specialist to write content about technical products or services because this helps eliminate unnecessary jargon or overcomplicated explanations. As a result, you’ll be able to provide content that your customers will actually ‘get’.

Whether writing about cloud computing or central heating components, I’m used to totally immersing myself in the subject. I can then produce the essential information in clear, concise, user-friendly language.
